New Zealand Completed Requests / Tunbridge Villa - Wellington
« on: Saturday 18 October 08 09:18 BST (UK)  »
Has anyone out there heard of Tunbridge Villa on Thorndon Quay, in Wellington?
I have tried googling and have found no info at all.
This was the residence of John & Emma Turner and their daughter died there in 1890.
Any info would be appreciated.

Warwickshire Lookup Requests / 1851 Census Birmingham - Help Please!
« on: Thursday 11 September 08 11:15 BST (UK)  »
I am looking for a William & Sarah Ann Field in the 1851 Census for Birmingham.
I am unsure of William's age but Sarah Ann would be 28yrs +/-1yr.
They married in King's Norton in 1848(free bmd) and their children George bap. 27 June 1852 Bordesley (free bmd) and James born 16 Nov 1853 Ladywood (b/c).Details listed on James birth cert in 1853 were William as a Sawyer and residence as 6 Court, Sherborne Street Birmingham. William apparently died on board his voyage to New Zealand in 1857, but there is no registration of his death and no log book kept so have been unable to get a death cert to confirm this.
Any help with this family would be greatly appreciated.

The ship “Ann Wilson” Departed England 1856 arrived Wellington, N.Z. 1857 – Is there a log book available stating the deaths of the eighteen passengers who died on their journey to N.Z.?  I’m after info on William & Sarah Field and children George & James. Apparently William Field died on his voyage out to N.Z. I am unable to locate any form of death registration! Any help would be greatly appreciated
