Yes thank you. I had some details of the children from a shipping list but didn’t know where they were born and where WMH married. Will keep digging  now
👍👍

Yes, lovely to see those ones.  :)

Children are listed on the family search records so you should be able to add a bit more information to your tree with those.

Lawrence died in 2006 Leeds area

Hello, I'm just recently registered on this site because I would like to know more from anybody who has a story to share about soldiers of the London Irish Rifles, WW2.  I am researching the whereabouts of one Rifleman Lawrence A. Armitage, age 19 in 1943 who was in Italy after Tunis.  His gravesite is not recorded with the CWGC nor can the LIR Museum give me the how's and where's of his death,  They can only guess he was MIA or killed as a deserter, which I don't believe in this case.  His serial number was: 4694638 and he served with "D" Coy. No. 4 Bn and also 9 Sec. 15 Plt. "G" Coy. 2nd Bn. If there is any old soldierr out there or relative or person in the know, I would like to hear from you.  Thank you.

Yes that’s right I have the details. Think it’s looking more likely to be Anna Eunice Scarth who ran the boarding house

Ebenezer's registration in 1880 gives mother's maiden name of Calvert.

Ditto for Anna Eunice in 1877

1860 - Hunslet Registration District - Hannah Calvert and Joseph Scarth appear on the same page.

Thanks yes that’s right. Didn’t have the obit so that’s useful
Brother Ebenezer

A 1933 obituary of Anna Eunice Scarth says that she was a native of Morley but had come to live in Morecambe 'over 30 years ago'.

She was the sister of Mr E Scarth 'the well known West End newsagent'.

Relatives at the funeral were Mr & Mrs E Scarth (brother & sister in law), Mr & Mrs A. Scarth (brother & sister in law from Morley), Miss Doris Scarth, Miss Edith Scarth

I suppose that she may live at Regent  Road and run the house in Pedder Street

1911 census has Anna Eunice Scarth - Lodging Housekeeper - single - aged 34 in Morecambe = BUT the address is given as 42a Regent Road, Morecambe.
