You can also upload images to your Ancestry tree from FS if you download them to your computer first then upload them to your tree.   I don't have a sub for Ancestry so it's really the only way I can attach documents to my tree on there. ;)

FS has a very large collection of South African records and more are added all the time.

The court case in 1902, the source code  ZTPD was divorce proceedings against Richard brought by Lilian but later withdrawn.

The 1910 file appears to be a letter enquiring about an estate:

The 1942 Estate File for Richard.  If you move through the images, his Will is there as well.

These are all on Family Search, usually my first stop for South African research.

William Leiper Archer died in Natal in 1961.  This is his estate notice on our archives.

There are a few mentions of Robert in the archives, including one about cattle on the farm Dunncloq.

There are estate notices as well for Robert, John and Helen. There are usually Death Notices attached to the file which can give information on family etc.  If you don't have them I could have a look for them.

Wearing of masks is compulsory when we leave our homes here in South Africa, all shops have sanitizing stations at the door with an attendant to ensure that you do.  A lot of businesses are also temp screening.  If you're above the limit, you're turned away.  It is good to see that the majority of folk are adhering to the rules...

You can also try the site, they have photos of graves from grave yards all over the country including many farm ones.  You may get lucky...

South West Africa or Namibia as it is today, was a German colony.  After the WWI it was made a protectorate of South Africa by the League of Nations as South Africa was still a Union and under British rule.

Many Germans came to SWA before both wars while they could still travel and many then came to South Africa.

There is a notice on National Archives website that says due to the pandemic they are closed until further notice.  I think this may apply to all the provincial repositories as well.
