Hello again
I don't think I am going to be much help but this is the information that I have. James Lamper and Hannah Trangmar do not appear to have married. I have not looked recently but could find no trace of a marriage although on the 1911 census I think it states married. One problem both Lamper and Trangmar are spelt many different ways.
James and Hannah had Albert H born 1869 in Middlesex London which is the first mystery because the rest of the children were born in Brighton. In the 1891 census he was listed as blacksmith at home. The other sons are James born 1877 and Albert E born 1882 ( He was my grandfather)
The daughters were Annie M born 1873, Nellie Louise born 1879 and Hannah Florence born 1884. I have photos of all three daughters.
In the 1901 census James and Hannah are living at 59 Ewart Street Brighton with their children Albert and Hannah. Also living there was Alice Lamper widow charwoman with son Frank,b1892, Florence b 1894 and daughter Margaret. I had written in my notes 'Was this Alfred's widow?' so from what you have said the answer is yes. Alice Lamper was born 1868 in Brighton and died Jul 1947 Brighton 5h 37.
In the 1891 census the family are listed as Samper. On some of the birth certificates Hannah Trangmar is called Annie so it is quite a difficult trail to follow.
As I haven't looked at any records recently new ones may have appeared. I would love to find James and Hannahs marriage! I have traced the family back to 1779 so if you want more information please ask. I have also made contact with Lamper cousin's who still live in Brighton. Both of them have been very helpful.
I hope someone can look up Alice and her children with the dates I have given. Good luck with the hunt. Thelma (was Lamper)
