Hi Michael,

Many thanks for taking the time to look. Hannah Wilson has been avoiding me for about three years now and it looks like she might be for another three!

I will have to check out the census reference you supplied and see if there are any further clues.

Regards

Karen

Hi,

Many thanks to you both for such a speedy response.  I have now found Chestnut Ave on mapquest - very nice position close to the sea, and it seems that the same proprietor had the hotel in 1901 and 1911.

Cheers.

Hi,

I am hoping someone can assist me in reading the name of a place on the 1901 census. The reference is RG13/2058/34/7 where I have found my GG Grandfather - Robert Henderson seemingly on holiday with his second wife and child, I am trying to decipher the name of the hotel they were staying in. Possibly Petersworth, Chestnut Terr?

Also if anyone knows if the place still exists?

Cheers.

Northumberland Lookup Requests / Wilson 1851

Hi,

I wonder if someone can look for this family in 1851 in either Benwell or Longbenton.

George Wilson bn abt 1803-06 bn (not sure - he claims to be from North Shields in 1861 and Sunderland in 1871)
Elizabeth Wilson bn abt 1804, Sunderland
Hannah Wilson bn abt 1843 Winlaton
Mary Jane Wilson bn 1845 Benwell

They were living in Longbenton in 1861. I am particularly interested in Hannah's place of birth, because although she consistently claims to be from Winlaton, I cannot find a birth certificate for her there. Also hoping there may be some other siblings.

Cheers

Hi Ange,

You are a star! This is wonderful, Hannah Musgrave is my recently discovered GGG Grandmother and a long time brick wall and it looks like you have just found my GGGG Grandparents for me.

Thank you so much.

 :) ;) :D ;D

Hi,

I am looking for Hannah Musgrave in the 1841 census bn abt 1833 in Workington. Probably living in the vicinity of Town Head or the High St. I would be interested in anyone she is living with.
