I am wondering what year, approximately, this may be from?  I was always told it was my great grandmother and her half brother (1902) though it seems older than that. Any clues?

This is all so awesome. Thank you for all your help.

So I know that Jessie worked as a servant while in Scotland, but somewhere along the way she had a daughter Nettie MacDougall.  Now off to try and solve that mystery. Right after I do some work!  LOL

I have no real info on the Turnbull children. I did not know that she had a half sister living in Kootenay region as well.

Jessie married Underhill and actually ran the bakery/restaurant in Fort Steele BC, which is now a historic town you can visit. The bakery still has her name.

She married my Great Great Grandfather Dilts who had quite a large ranch near Waldo BC.

More to substantiate this is the right family, or maybe not. My great grandmother, daughter of Jessie with Edson Dilts in Canada, is named Louisa.

sorry to sound so contradictory.  What I meant is that after Jessie's Mom marries, there is no mention of Jessie with the family. I only find her later working. Wondering where she was from the time of say 3 until she was working in 1881.

And yes Rosie, that is my tree.  I know Jessie ended up in Canada, marrying first a Charles Underhill and having a son. When Charles passed she then married Edson Dilts. My Great grandmother is their oldest child.

I am looking for information on my Great Great Grandmother.  I have that she was born in Leith to Margaret McLaren (unmarried) in 1864 at 5 fox lane, Bath Street Leith.  I know that Margaret went on to marry a Thomas Turnbull in 1867 in Selkirk.  No mention of Jessie once her mother marries Turnbull.

I do know that she was in Selkirk in 1891 as a servant for David Wright, wool miller?

Sorry, I am in Canada, and not quite sure how close these locations are.

Any info would be greatly appreciated  :)

I am totally new to this site so hopefully this all makes sense!

I am looking for information on my Great Great Grandmother Janet (jessie) Leslie Mclaren, born to Margaret McLaren.  Janet apparently was working in Selkirk as a Servant to David Wright in 1891.  I am wondering where she went from there.  I do not know her father's name as she was born out of wedlock from all I can tell.

Thank you.
