Hi Tara

You have said that you think Edward and Margaret had 4 children, how did you find that out please? I would like to know where to look for this information as I have no clue as to who Edward or Margarets parents were??

Regards

Maria

Hi,
I can find the record of two children born to Edward and Margaret.
1. 3 Apr 1865 Edward, registered at Granard, Co. Longford
2. 11 Oct 1867 Mary, registered in Co.Longford.

Regards

Hi I wondered if you could tell me where you found those records please? I looked on the family search website but could not find those entries. Maria

Hi Tara

He was called Edward McDonagh and he was a general labourer. Her mother was Margaret McDonagh (Woods). I dont think they lived in Scotland as they are not on any of the census. I think they may have only come over for the wedding from Ireland or perhaps they did not even attend the wedding but she just listed them as her parents. She was a lodger at the time of her marriage.

Hope you can help.

Regards

Maria

Hi My name is Maria James and my great grandmother was Maria McDonagh. She was a lodger at 18 Airdriehill Square, Airdrie in 1891 when she married my great grandfather Thomas O'Brien who lived in the same street. I am trying to trace what happened to her as she was in the 1901 census in Scotland with her husband and children but he died later that year and she seemed to disappear between then and 1922 when she was noted as dead as she was deceased at her sons wedding that year. in the 1911 census her children were living with her husbands mother. I think the family name may come from Galway or Roscommon but I cannot seem to trace her, any help would be appreciated. Thanks Maria x
