Hi Jenny,

It was so fantastic to get your message! Always great to make a family connection  ;D
It's been a long time since I've done any any research but yes, I have a lot more than that original post. I've got quite a bit about Andrew and Isabella and their family and of the Dunlop side, (the previous generation were in Scotland,) but, from memory, I have very little of the Bond side! I've had some computer issues recently and can't get at my database right now but I'll get back to you tonight!!!

Adrianne :)

Thanks Falkyrn. That site was really helpful. Think I'm going to go for the FamilyGTG

I use Family Historian on my PC. Really, I just need a gedcom viewer. And one that works offline and doesn't involve signing up for a website. My folks are going to a family reunion and want to take the database with them on their Samsung 10 (don't know exact model). It needs to be able to cope with large files. I've got about a month to get it organised and them comfortable using it  ;)

Thanks for looking. It probably is him but I doubt it can be proved. Worth a try  :)

Thankyou

Hi Pari Passu,

Thank you for all your previous help. I was wondering if you could please do another look up for me in the Lesmahagow MIs?

One of my ggggggrandfathers was John Thomson. On the birth of his last daughter on 10 Nov 1815 in Crossford, he is listed as deceased. His wife was Margaret Gray. Apart from his occupation, master watchmaker, I have no other info on him.

Any info would be greatly appreciated,

Adrianne

Hi all,

Looking for an app for a 10" android tablet.

I've looked at reviews for FamilyBee and ezGed and was disappointed. Both look like they haven't been updated in years.

Has anyone tried FamilyGTG? It looks good in Google Play.

What is everyone else using? Any advice welcome :)

Adrianne

Wow! Thank you!!! That's wonderful as I had no idea of their birth or death years! I feel very lucky  ;D

Thanks for showing me both versions, very interesting. It's amazing the difference 40 years can make.

Thank you Pari Passu! That is wonderful information. Couldn't be better actually  ;D ;D ;D

Would it be too much to ask for another look up?

Alex and Margaret Scott's son John married Janet Allan. Her parents were James ALLAN and Jean TEMPLETON. I have her parents on the 1821 census but nothing afterwards. They ran the mill at Corra Mill but there's no sign of them in 1841, just the kids. I don't know how your MIs are indexed. If that is too big a search, please don't worry about it, but after such brilliant results with the Scott's, I couldn't resist asking :D

Thankyou again,

Adrianne
