Thank you among for all your information, I will look into Suffolk records, also the possibility that
John and Ann Waller may have been in London themselves when "my John Waller" was born.

Thank you, I am going to look again through all the usual web sites, plus see if I can find any more information out on John and Hannah's marriage.

Thank you, I have already tried FreeReg but couldn't find him, have just tried the Norfolk Transcription Archive, he isn't there as I didn't know about that. I will now try and widen my search as suggested.
I assumed that he may have been born in Diss, Norfolk as his some of his children had been baptised there.   But he actually married in London to a Hannah Nightingale, he lived in the parish of St. Leonard's, Shoreditch, his first two children were born there, before moving to Diss. Perhaps I should look there as well.

Yes, I have checked the records on Familysearch, but have been unable to find him.
I can find some of his children's baptisms, but not his.

pamthomas Thank you for your help and links which I have been looking at this morning, and I have noted the ones that I will need to help in hopefully finding Thomas Makeman and Susanna's
marriage.

Thanks ray b, I knew of Richard born 1697 to Thomas and Joan/Joanna who was the second wife of
Thomas, he married her later the same year (1696) that his first wife Susanna died.
Will try and contact Lincolnshire Family History Society to see if they can help.
Thank you.

ray b, Thank you once again for your help, have looked at the Gedney Hill parish records as you
said, and have found both the baptism record and also burial records for both mother and daughter.
As you say, they lived at Fleet Fen.   Just need to find the marriage for Thomas and Susannah now.
