Hi Moya,
Yes, I'm in Delaware, USA. You must be the person that sent a letter to my dad's brother in Vermont. My parents visited England during the 1970's and my uncle Robert Green and his wife went over for a visit sometime afterwards. My parents are both still alive and living in Fredericksburg, Virginia. My dad is 93 and my mother just celebrated her 90th.
After arriving in America, John Bell and wife Mary Hamilton lived in the Camden, New Jersey area across the river from Philadelphia. Mary passed away 10 years before I was born, but I saw my g-grandfather, John Bell, a number of times when I was a child. He passed away on Apr 04, 1964. I have a number of scanned photos of many family members, including one of William Bell and another one of his wife, Janet McFaun.
My uncle said he was forwarding the letter you sent and I expect it either today or Monday.
Thanks for replying.  Jeff

I'm pretty sure I descend from this couple.
They had a son named William Bell. He married a Janet McFaun and they had at least three children. One of those children was a John Bell who married a Mary Jane White Hamilton on Dec 30, 1898 in Greenock, Renfrew, Scotland.
They were my great-grandparents. I understand John Bell had a sister named Agnes who married a man by the last name of Campbell.
Is this the same family you're researching?
