Yes I see that. My dates are slightly different but the names are the same. Thanks for confirming.

All these baptisms were at St Helen's, Witton. The registers give both parents and their respective parents.

Thomas Stelfox born 1853 seems a little old to be in uniform c.1914-1918, could it be a son?

Thank you Odessa. This information is of great help. You are correct. I was given these two photos and was told they were the same man. I only just noticed the 1915 date hand written by Tom Stelfox a few days ago. Yes he must be the Son of Thomas and is my great great Uncle. This means the picture of the older man, Great Great Grandfather Thomas Stelfox, well dressed in fine tailored clothing, tie and hat, must have been taken in London. He is in front of a door and bow window with at least a second floor. Beautiful architectural detail with bricking and iron fencing with beautiful designs.  There are similar apartment buildings in New York City so I wasn't sure.  I would appreciate the info you have on Thomas's parents, grandparents and great grandparents as I do not have any of that information.  It has been difficult researching my father's dad's side because his name is Smith and I do not have a middle name or birth year.  I only have information on my father's mom's side ending with Thomas Stelfox born 1854.  Thank you for any information or advice you have for me as I greatly appreciate it.

I'm not a Stelfox descendant, but have some info, as they connect with other families I do have an interest in.

I have 2 photos of Thomas. One from 1915 France he is uniform and one he is much older standing in front of an apartment. I am not sure if Thomas came here to the USA or possibly William Stelfox and Jean Donohoe did? Would you know?
