Thank you spendlove and redshank for writing. I believe my William Tagg (born 1810) married Ann Williamson who was born West Hallam. This marriage I did find at the fasmilysearch website. They were married at Duffield in 1831, they had at least one child born Alfreton but was baptised Duffield in 1833. To be sure I had the correct couple, I wanted to see if there were any other William's who married Ann's in or near Alfreton in that time frame, was also interested to find names of parents for William 1810. All I know for sure right now is that William (1810 Alfreton) did marry someone named Ann (born about 1810 West Hallam) according to the 1851 census. That same census shows the son, William (1833) in the household.
So far there are two possibles for parents of William 1810, I believe they are: James Tagg and Mary Fletcher married 1807 at Alfreton OR John Tagg and Ann Alfree married 1798 Alfreton. Other possibles may be out there though am not aware of them. Both of these couples were found in Pallot's Marriage Index as I did not have access to Alfreton Phillimore's and was curious if it might show others that I should be considering.
After making the original post I ordered 3 films from LDS to look at the parish registers of both Alfreton and Duffield. Wanted to see if Phillimore's had any further marriages so that I could look them up as well and knowing the years of any additional possibilities would have helped.
Thanks for the help though am surprised the 2 marriages from Alfreton that were in the Pallot's index were not in the Phillimores. Hopefully more details will be found out once the film arrives.
Thanks for the help.
