borrowing a friend's pc to reply and using her account, (forgotten my password)
esseco   I know nothing about the rules regarding lichen on a gravestone but cleaning an old gravestone might be considered defacing it.  However I do keep my parent's gravestone clean.
hallmark  thanks for the tip, sounds simple but I would probably have stood square in front of it.
Thank you

Aberdaron Baptisms
28/10/1782  Cadwalader, son of Hugh and Lowry Roberts Caedu,
Worth considering, could be a case of the dreaded patronyms.

Glyn,  you have had a more profitable hunt than I have had, I did not think of a will for finding when Evan died. Thank you for your help.
Mabel Bagshawe, that would fit in, there was a daughter Elizabeth, but I had her as the second daughter.  Please can you tell me where  you found that  that announcment.  Thank you for your help

Not knowing the parishes of Lleyn to find adjoining parishes and knowing nothing more than the name of the parents does not make the task easy.
Thanks for your suggestion, I will try to find more about Evan and Elizabeth. Maybe that will shed some light on the puzzle.
Thanks
