I asked my Gran if she knew a Kate or Adeline and she did not recognise the name. I'm not sure if Ele's Elisabeth Ann Bell and my Annie Isabella Bell are the same person, as my gran(Dorothy Jean) was born in 1918, (when Ele mention the marriage of Elizabeth and Francis) her sister was born to the same parents in 1924 and to the best of my knowledge James Ashcroft and Annie Isabella never divorced or split up. But I will do some digging this weekend.

We are definatley related as I know you father (extended Families used to holiday together including your auntie Silvia her husband and Brian and Damien. I also knew your Gran/Grandad and used to visit regularly many years ago.

Hi James 

Your Gran Bertha Neugent nee Ashcroft is the sister of my Gran Dorothy Jean Pick who was born in 1918 in Gateshead, she had a twin sister Annie Isabella who died at a very early age, they also had a brother James( Junior) and William and another sister Edith, she married Jackie Robson.

Their parents are James (Senior) Ashcroft who married Annie Isabella Bell, sorry i don't have any dates, but I will be visiting my Gran this weekend to get a bit more data, if you have any questions you want me to ask her , just let me know.

So to give you an idea of how we are related, your father Norman is cousins with my father Norman Pick.
