Actually if William Armstrong married Jane Patterson by Licence in Woodhorn 31 January 1804, its unlikely they are the parents of Thomas born in 1828 unfortunately.

Northumberland / Thomas Bartholomew Armstrong

Thomas Bartholomew Armstrong was born in 1828, died in 1894 in Blyth, Northumberland.

I have census records from 1861 but they dont help me find his parents or siblings.  Is there anyone who can help me find this information.  He was a master mariner who married Elizabeth Reveley in 1853 in Christchurch, Tynemouth.

Thank you, in anticipation

Helen

World War Two / George William Balmer
« on: Thursday 03 December 20 16:29 GMT (UK)  »
I'm trying to find George William Balmer on 1939 register but he seems to have joined up at the start of the war underage (17). So it's likely he is training but I don't know what regiment it was only that he was in Burma and survived. He's born in London in 1921 but Scottish by heritage, his father served in the King's Own Scottish Borders in WW1. Can anyone help please or point me in the right direction? I've tried Forces war records and Fold3. Thx Helen
