Buckinghamshire / Mathew Channer 1728-1799
« on: Thursday 14 February 19 11:33 GMT (UK)  »
Hi
i am just checking some of my research

i have a christening of a Mathew Channer in Radnage 24 August 1760
i am now  wondering who this was , are there any other clues

i have for some reason linked this to a Mathew Channer i think was born 1728
( parents Charles Channer  and Joanna ).
i have 4 children for Mathew and Ann  in Radnage 1755-1762
then 3 children in Wendover 1767-1776
i think he was buried in Wendover in oct 1799

i don`t think he was christened   so he could get married in the C of E as i have his marriage in
1755 in Wendover to Ann smith.

so is this someone else who was christened 1760
any thoughts or help would be welcome ,i know it was a long while ago

thank you
andrea

hi
the 2 census
i was thinking he was at work on census
and wive wife on other census
i will re check any other William`
i have ( before it was on line ) copied every channer record i could find in  BMD books
so i will look  other possibilities  i  have some knowledge of walworth and bermondsey area

i cant find any one who would fit with 2nd census record
strange burial was victoria park  hackney across the river thames
possibly not such a divide as it is now
i think age is 60 not 50 but still a bit out for birth 1814
prehaps another relative was buried there
more research for me

i have him on 1861 and 1871 census  not sure if wife is same person or not

on 1861

william 46 head   factory watch man Chelsea
ann       39                                             holborn

is wife same or was he married twice

On 1871 census
