It says she's the daughter of a couple who only married the previous year. The wife has an unusual, name so I think she is definitely a child. I wonder if it does mean adult and was out next to the wrong name?

The Common Room / Letter A in baptism register

I've come across annotations for pauper and private baptisms in registers before, but now I've seen one with an A in the margin of a baptism register for 1817. Does anyone know what this would mean?
Btw, there is the P annotation elsewhere on the page so it isn't that.
Thanks

Australia / House numbering
« on: Tuesday 19 September 17 10:09 BST (UK)  »
Hi
I have someone who's address in 1954 was Lot 89 xxx Road, Sylvania Heights.
Would I be right in assuming Lot 89 became house number 89?
Don't want to go and look at the wrong house!

How would I be able to check?
Thanks

Thanks spider monkey, housework is overrated anyway!

I'll look them up next week. Shame I can't find that marriage so we can def confirm her father.

Thanks
Kirsten

another thought is that Elizabeth was not free to marry. I don't know if she was married before. On the birth certificate of her children it just asks for her maiden name, I guess she wouldn't have to declare if she'd been married previously, especially if she was not married to her current partner.

Elizabeth is 67 in 1911 so maybe this death?

Jun 1918 Southwark
Elizabeth Earwaker age 75

Thank you , this looks like her death. Now to find her birth! The various census records record her birth as Bermondsey or Westminster or St George the Martyr (Southwark)

Simple suggestion is if the marriage can't be found then it never existed in the first place!

Dawn suggested here http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=711010.msg5547466#msg5547466 that John might not have been free to marry

Yes I looked into a possible earlier marriage but couldn't find anything.  Open to this suggestion though if anyone can find an earlier marriage
