Herts Completed Lookup Requests / Re: Bateman 1861-1871 completed

Hello Jericho,

The Batemans are in my family tree too as Samuel Bateman married Georgiana Street and brother William Bateman married Georgiana's sister, Eliza Street. Georgiana and Eliza were daughters of John Street born c1800 and Sarah Pallett born c1812.

Hi Jennifer,

My great x3 grandfather, William Street, was Caroline Street's brother. William Street married Susan Mary Ann Bacon in 1843. Their daughter, Mary Ann Matilda Street (Tilly) was my maternal grandfather's grandma. Caroline Godfrey nee Street had a son, Robert, before she was married to William Godfrey. William and Caroline had 2 sons: William (1846) and James (c1850). In later life, Caroline lived at the almshouses at Arewater Green. There is a photo of some of the residents, including Caroline, available on the internet. It was taken c1895 and Caroline is on the right of the picture. I tried to add it here, but couldn't insert the photo.

Hello Keyboard 86,

Dad passed away in 1974. Not sure if he knew Wally. No-one left to ask now. Mum has been left severely disabled by a stroke.

Hello Jericho,
Yes, I am still interested in links between my Street family of Hertford/Loughton/Buckhurst Hill and the Enfield Streets.

Yes, Sarra, she was.

It's very addictive, but can be frustrating when you think you're close to an elusive connection. However, I have made progress with my paternal grandmother's line, so now have a set of greatx6 grandparents.

Good luck with your research!
Angie

Yes, Sarra. I'm just trying to connect the Isaac Street family of chimney sweeps in Enfield to my Street chimney sweeps in Loughton and Buckhurst Hill.
Thanks,
Angie

You're welcome, Sarra. If you have any info on Isaac Street senior's parents, I'd be very grateful.
 ;)

Isaac Street , chimney sweep, buried Enfield 1831, is not a transcription error for your relation, Isaac Stride.
