Oh wow, that is fantastic.  Thank you!
Would you able to tell me if there are additional McCracken's listed?

Hi there,
I've noticed the reference to the 1828 Congregation Record and I was hoping it might show my family?
James McCracken lived at Maine North in the 1831 census with 4 males and 6 females in the household.  Known children are Robert and Sarah and possibly James.  In addition the following could be children, Marcus, Joseph, Mary Ann, Martha and Jane.
In the 1859 Griffiths, Robert is living on the farm.
Thanks.

Hi there,
I realize this post is several years old, but hoping you're still interested.  I noted your comments about the Elizabeth Stanbury bap at Brixham in 1784.  She is my ancestor and she was the daughter of Peter Stanbury and Ann Angell.  She married ? Smith firstly, and secondly Richard Heard in 1810 at East Stonehouse.  Richard was a mariner.  They named some of their children as follows: Ann Angel Heard and Jemima Jane Stanbury Heard.  In the 1851 census Elizabeth gives her birthplace as Brixham.  Their daughter who is my ancestor Elizabeth Peters Heard married Philip Thomas Nancollas Bennett.  In the 1881 census she is living with her cousin, Mary Friend.  This Mary is Mary Fewins b. abt 1831 Hatherleigh d/o John Fewins and Ann Stanbury, which further cements the connection.
I have been working with some Stanbury DNA matches through Ancestry.  An intriguing match is a descendant of Jane Stanbury b. abt 1780 and married William Collins in 1809 at Okehampton.  I am just trying to work out her parentage, there are 3 candidates, but one possibility goes back to Samuel of Mary of Inwardleigh.

Suffolk Lookup Requests / Re: Willingham St Mary baptism - GARROD/GARRETT
« on: Tuesday 14 January 20 17:48 GMT (UK)  »
I haven't been able to find a marriage for them, but their first son was born about 1837.  The first child's baptism I have found is Mary Ann at Stow Bardolph in 1838.
In 1861 they are living at Walpole St Andrew, District 8, page 2

Suffolk Lookup Requests / Willingham St Mary baptism - GARROD/GARRETT
« on: Tuesday 14 January 20 16:06 GMT (UK)  »
Hello,
I am seeking a possible baptism record for my 3rd great grandfather, William GARROD.  Census records for 1851/1861 at Walpole St Andrew, Norfolk, give his birthplace as Willingham, Suffolk around 1812.  It must be prior to 1813 as he was not on the Suffolk FHS Index.  Prior years are not indexed.
There is an Ann GARROD in Willingham in the 1851 Census, age 78, widow of Ag Lab, born Ellough.  She is the only GARROD in the parish.  There is a baptism for George GARROD 5 May 1816 at Sotterley s/o John & Ann, the father is a labourer residing at Willingham.
Any help appreciated.

Hi Leah,

Thanks for the quick reply.  I'm going to look into it a bit further, Find My Past and Free BMD do have fairly good coverage of Lincolnshire parishes.  I can let you know how I make out if you'd like?

Hi Leah,
I realize this is an old post, but just hoping you're still active.  I am investigating DNA matches between my mother and the descendants of Mary Campbell the d/o the Hannah Campbell talked about in your post, who later married John Lill.  I had identified the John & Mary Campbell of Irby on Humber as possible relations to my Elizabeth Campbell who married Joseph Allison in 1782 at Appleby.
This DNA connection and your possible link between Hannah and John & Mary might add some support to that.
Sincerely,
Cody
