Further to reply#3 of January 2019, update after research:
John Meiklejohn Walker mmn Bowman b1878 m 1901 Agnes Miller Crawford
Charles Edward Walker mmn Bowman b1880 m 1905 Jessie Roy
[John Meiklejohn Walker mmn Roy b1905 m 1927 Jane Anderson]
so yes there is a family link.
Would like to know Walker/Crawford family details, as struggling to find it.
cheers,

Hi,
Am trying to trace parents of JOHN  THOMAS STRANGE,  mmn WOODAS  1867 BELPER [gro.gov]
The problem is I cannot find a marriage for Strange & Woodas.
I have found an 1855 marriage for:
John Strange & Elizabeth Woodhouse [Woodas?] 1855 Codnor and Loscoe [Basford], Nottinghamshire
can anyone find any connection between these facts?
Thanks,
Mel C

Hi PaulineJ,
Thanks for the links,
so Mary & Margaret are Stephen's daughters,
but no link, as yet, to William as Stephen & Ann's son?
Thanks,
Mel C

Yorkshire (East Riding & York) / parents of William Ransom
« on: Sunday 01 September 19 22:39 BST (UK)  »
Hello All,
Am trying to trace parents of William Ransom b1825 Warter. Married Jane Atkin in 1853 Bridlington.
From 1861 census have found family as 'Rawson' and father details as;
RAWSON    Stephen   Father    W    M    74    Formerly Ag Serv  Yorkshire - Barmby Moor
Have a marriage in Warter 1816 to Ann Wilson but cannot find any details of 'William' from this marriage.
Am I looking at the correct marriage or does anyone have more substantial information about Stephen Ransom.
Thanks,
Mel C
