I believe this to be a very good candidate. I am on different Wigtownshire forums gathering local information, would need confirmation rather than just accept. I thank you for relentlessly mulling over the maps and your interest in the post.

In 1908 marriage certificate I have

Grange
Lochans
Inch

I can only find Culgrange and the Culgrange Cottage.
Any help with the specified time and place greatly appreciated.

Robert Scott fathered a male child in 1926.
Birth certificate says child born @ Woolcoats.
Robert was a Quarryman in 1926, and possibly emigrated to Canada.
Sorry, it's all I have.
Hoping that someone has been down this road already...

I believe it was WWI era,and possibly part of his service was in India.

Although I can find the other 3 places mentioned in the above,Woolcoats is evading me,even on my old maps.I have my search leading me to 1926 Woolcoats.Please can anyone locate for me,probably farm again,and possibly not there or renamed today.
