Annclare. He arrived in Australia on Prince Regent Ship 1824. I would love to know the Irish transportation end or the prison records as they might shed some light on the n.o.k This I have been unable to do from this end. He was a shepherd in Laois before he was incarcerated. Thank you for persisting. :)

Thank you Annclare. I have john born 1804-1805. ? Possible late baptism although I know the babies had to be baptised soon after they were born? My family history forward from Ireland has him in politics and farming. He was in prison for bearing arms and sentenced in Queens to 7 years in the colonies. I have nothing of the prison register which may have indicated who his kin were. Thank you for your look up. Hopefully someone will come across something. X Marli

O.k. Lizdb. You made me re look at where I started 10 years ago and I am certain we have found the family. I have found the marriage between John and Elizabeth. Did not find any more on the South Hampton Exodus of John in 1857. We have him arriving on the Sunshine in Victoria in 1857 so will have to let it go and start to reevaluate the tree. I had done it previously on a 6 metre canvas but it was burnt in the
black Saturday fires over here. So back to the drawing board. Thank you for your amazing help. :) Marli

Ha,ha. Didn't see that one coming. I went through every marriage in freereg citing Either spouse and witnesses who had the name Poole . I thought I may come across something that would show the name Cullen somewhere . No luck. I still have to link our boy John to leaving England on that specific boat as it may give a n.o.k. Bravo on your skills Lizdb x

Did rule the Beckingham one out for marriage to Jane.
The great Gonnerby one was claimed by senator Jack in the U.S. In a family tree. The mother was Elizabeth Singleton not Hilton.
There was one thing the gggrandfather said was that the mother had links to Ireland. Have tried that avenue but could not link her with coming to England or marrying John the father in Ireland. Welcome to a tangled web. I keep going over L.DS. And shipping to see if I can pick up something also Curious fox has been good but no one has come up with anything. Sorry but thank you heaps for trying . I will muddle along and see if somehow I stumble into the right area. The other snippet was that he left England because it was something to do with a church and a falling out with his father. He was married here in the United Church of England and Ireland.

No liz I actually gave up Ancestry when I could not find him also my heritage .  He immigrated alone but I gather the names Sarah,Francis, Neville , appear in his linage. He was a farmer in Australia and married into an Australian farming Family.
