Many thanks for all your information. I agree Frances Lucy must have been born c.1792, and I wonder if some parish records of the Marriotts have been lost. Of interest is that the house keeper to David William and Frances Lucy Waldock was a spinster Mary Shelton. On her death in 1858 her effects were granted to one Samuel Marriott, of Royston Cambridgeshire, the cousin and one of next of kin of the deceased. So perhaps the Samuel and Sarah Marriott are the link between the two families. Thank you Cinderdrinker.
I see on the 1841 census that William is away at school, and Henry the brother is at home. Would the school have been a boarding school or just a day school? Not sure how far Potton is from "Green man Farm" Tetworth.
