James Smith (J.S. in many records) was born in 1828.  The record that you noted on FamilySearch is 'our guy'.  The other record is a bit confusing and only shows a few of the children of David Kinloch Drummond and Mary...and it appears to list David's siblings as his children.  Ah, the power of punctuation!   I would love to find James' actual birth/baptism record...have had no luck with LDS/FHC so far....although they indexed it.  And burial places of the parents and siblings.  And the farm site.  We will be coming to Scotland in the next year or so and would love to actually see where they lived, etc.
Thanks so much for the fast reply and info!

Ayrshire / Drummond family of Catrine and Sorn

New to the boards here!
Our ancestor James Smith Drummond came to Victoria BC Canada around 1840-1850. He was married to a M.A. Drummond until about 1860-1870 and they had several children who died in infancy. He then married Elizabeth Tod in 1880 and they had at least one child, Leonora who is our grandmother. James Smith Drummond died in 1884 and his death records state he was from Catrine.  Some other records from BC Canada state he was from Sorn.  His father was David Kinloch Drummond and mother Mary Smith.  I believe they were farmers.  Is there a cemetery record or other records for this Drummond family?  Any help greatly appreciated!!!
