Family History Beginners Board / Mothers Name

Good Evening one and all,

Hope you can help once again.
I am researching a Charles Chalke b1768 in Bower Chalke Wiltshire.
His father is William Chalke.
Then I have hit a wall.
On Genealogical sites, they only list a Christian name for the mother.
There are 2 William Chalkeís listed.
One married Sarah Downes and one married Sarah Joliffe.
Hopefully somebody can help me decipher my issue.
Many thanks as always

Further to the 1861 census,if that is correct, why isnít Louisa ( born 1858) listed ?

Yes I have that record,so do I presume she never married and her birth name was Draper.
On Some Ancestry trees ,which I donít give much credence to,they list a Thomas Draper as father, but it rings alarm bells.

Good day one and all.

I have a Louisa Draper in my tree born 1858 in Radford Nottingham.
On the birth certificate her mothers maiden name is listed as Draper.
The father name is a blank.
I can understand that the father is unknown, but why the mother didnít use her maiden name,or did she.
Many thanks in anticipation

Many thanks again.

Hi,
I wonder if you can help.
I have a Mrs Beaton cookbook.
Inside the cover is handwritten Lily Beale,32,Onslow Gardens London W8.
Lily is my wifeís great aunt.
I am assuming she was a domestic at that address.
Does anybody have access to records for that house please.
Not sure of date, but probably 1910-30
Thank you for your help
