Kiltaglassan - thank you, I had already those details, but as you say, others may be interested!

Hanes Teulu - thank you.  Yes, the name Graham occurs in the name of 3 sons and 1 grandson.  Interestingly, Graham's widow, Eliza Isabella, died in Larne in 1948, but despite my son searching, the house she and her family lived in , does not appear to exist any longer.  Doctor David Graham Browne who married Emily Lazenby, died in Australia.  I simply have no details for Samuel Graham Browne and his wife Dorathea Enriqueta Browne - possibility they were in USA and possibly married/lived there????
The Brown/Browne family were extremely talented and the world was their oyster. Thanks again, Brown1777

Derry (Londonderry) / Browne family Drapersfield House Cloghog County Londonderry
« on: Thursday 25 March 21 16:14 GMT (UK)  »
Hi
I have spent several months trying to establish the connection between William Browne (1805-1896) of Drapersfield House, Cloghog, County Londonderry and the Brown(e) family of Trinaltenagh, Garvagh.  I have now established that William Browne of Drapersfield was the son of Rev.Solomon Brown of Castledawson Presbyterian Church and this indeed confirms the link.
With the immense help from contacts in Dublin and Canada, it has been possible to put together William Browne's family.  Also of considerable help was the will of his daughter Marian Browne who died in 1902.  William Browne (1805-1896) was married to Elizabeth Graham (1808-1891) and one of their sons was Samuel Graham Browne.
Samuel Graham Browne was married to Dorothea Enriqueta Browne according to Marian's will - this is where the trail goes cold!  There is the suggestion that Samuel Graham Browne went to the USA - San Francisco, but a contact there advises that due to the earthquake there, that the majority of records were lost/destroyed!  The "Enriqueta" suggests a Spanish/Latin background.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you, Brown1777

Hi Agnetta,
Yes there is definitely a Balteagh Presbyterian Church in the Foyle Presbytery.  It was formed in 1823 by families who had previously worshipped at Drumachose.  Scriggan that you mention was dissolved in 1905, with most of its members joining Balteagh.  The congregation was united with Bovevagh in 1974.

Hope this helps

Argyle,

I have a photograph of the Eaton "workforce" including the Eaton family taken in 1962.  It included the workforce for the bakery in Londonderry and those based at their depot in Coleraine. If you are interested, I will dig it out.

Regards

Holly,

On the Armed Forces World War One part of Rootschat there are people there with a lot more knowledge than me about these matters and you might want to record your enquiry there.

The Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers Museum does offer a "trace a relative" option online.  You will note though that if you input the surname Lawrence that it brings up several William Lawrences.  It may be a touch expensive at £65 per individual to make enquiries and have them send you the details about all the Private William Lawrences?  The experts in the Armed Forces section may offer a less expensive alternative. Hollaw,
The Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers has a lovely museum in Enniskillen, County Fermanagh.  They also have a website that allows tracing of relatives.  Getting ready to attend a funeral at the minute, but not so long ago the website was "down" as it was being reviewed not sure how it is at present but if you google it, it is easily found.  Brown1777
