You are quite correct. It was a typo. Sorry and well spotted.
She died in 1934, age 68.
I am hoping to find a photograph of her as I have a picture of one of her sisters and 2 pictures of her brothers.

Thanks for looking.
I am going solely on information from his grandaughter.
Sadly she cannot find the newspaper cutting about him that they have kept all these years.
It's very frustrating, but I am hoping that something may turn up.
Your help is much appreciated.

Thanks for the census Alan.
It gives us a starting point.
Shame about the newspapers not covering that period but at least we now know his accident was after 1920.

BREAKING NEWS
I have just been informed by a member of his family that the mining accident which badly injured him happened before he moved to Illinios.
It happened in Ohio in a coal mine. It must have been between 1919 and 1926.
Does anyone know which newspaper it might have been reported in.
The article is reputed to have told of a metal plate being inserted in the skull which sadly then became detached and caused his death.

Thanks Alan for your reply.
That doesn't look hopeful though.
You would have thought there would have been an archive somewhere but apprently not.
