I am thinking that maybe William Rogerson was married before only because he was about 26/27 when he got married to Alicia Molyneux   married for about 4 years or so he got a fever and it killed him
we were told that money went to a second wife
I would think if  he did have a first wife and they had a child it would have been called William Rogerson too like his child with Alicia  Molyneux  that also got a fever a few years befor william and passed as a baby
I have only got about 30 years  or there about missing
Just need the missing link

Here is some info about Alicia Molyneux, she had three sons by William

Daniel Molyneux was the Ulster King of Arms 1597-1632. I understand that the records of the Ulster King of Arms list the coats of arms and pedigrees of Northern Irish. Copies are held by the College of Arms in London, the originals remain in Dublin

Daniel Molyneux Funeral Entries are held in the National Library of Ireland and are available on line.

Dublin / Re: James Fetherston

Thank you for the information.  I have located my missing James relation - his father was a son of The Rev. John Fetherstonhaugh - so that makes James Howard a 1st cousin to my ancestor.  Your comments don't surprise me.  I would be very interested if you could direct me to any other information on the family or indeed on the politics in that area (my ancestors were here by the late 1840's).

Thanks again
Ron

Wicklow / Re: History of Kilquade House- COMPLETED

Hi

There appears to be an Algeo connection as in the Will of Margaret Algeo of Dublin who died in 1863 refers to Livingston Thompson of Castlegrange, near Ashford, Co Wicklow, as Nephew of the deceased.  See:-

http://www.willcalendars.nationalarchives.ie/reels/cwa/005014889/005014889_00329.pdf

Yes that would be correct, by reading the letters of Mary Graves (1772-1860, the daughter of Admiral Sir Thomas Graves) to her aunts in Ireland, dated 26th March 1832, she says " I have just received the sad news of poor Mrs. Thompson's death from Livingstone and is her death likely to make any difference to Jane Thompson and Mary Ann. What has Mrs.T. left?, I hope she has left something to her sister in law. I suppose poor Maria must be consigned for education to that affected simpleton her aunt Algoe. What will the young men do. When will John T. be of age, how is the health of Maria and her brother."

Livingstone Thompson b.1810 in Dublin and died on the 19th September 1874 living at Kilquade House, Newtown, Mont Kennedy, Co. Wicklow,  he had married Florida Norman and his brother was John Graves Livingstone Thompson, who changed his name to Livingstone on the 12th May 1863 and died in Bristol on the 17th May 1902.
Any information about their parents would be helpful, their grandparents were John Thompson and Mary Ann Graves, who later married Alexander Irwin.

Derry (Londonderry) / Re: Henry family, Fairview, etc.

Annette54 many thanks!

William Graves is another large beneficiary of James' WILL.   William Graves is connected to the Graves family of Gravesend Villa, Castledawson, what I don't know is the actual relationship between the Graves, the Christie and the Henry families.

Among the deaths as reported in the Londonderry Sentinel 1823-1869 in the issue of the 23rd September 1853 is…"September 21st at his brother's residence Upper Leeson Street, Dublin in his 64th year, William Graves Esq of Gravesend County of Londonderry, Captain of the Londonderry Military and J.P. of that county, also of the Royal Marines".
In the 19th April 1861 issue is ….Graves John Samuel April 6th at Woodbine Hill, Devon John Samuel Graves Barrister at Law, only son of the late Admiral Graves and nephew of Admiral Sir Thomas Graves Bart of Gravesend County Derry.
I have a Graves family tree from Gravesend, which confirms the above.
My gt.gt.gt.gt.grandfather was the Rev. John Graves, who had earlier been a Chaplin in the Royal Navy and died on the 6th January 1776 at Gravesend.

World War One / Re: Air Chief Marshal Sir John Whitworth-Jones
« on: Friday 08 October 21 16:24 BST (UK)  »
I was very interested to read about the details and discussion of the military career of AVM Sir John Whitworth-Jones.  He was a distant cousin of mine and he - and his equally distinguished brother Sir Felix (Aylmer) Jones - were well known to me as a child.  Known to us all as Tweedle-dum and Tweedle-dee!  I had no idea that he started his career as a bugler!!  Both brothers were splendidly eccentric, so I suppose I am not particularly surprised.

I am looking for any descendants from the second marriage of Henry Foxcroft Jones, whose wife Olivia S.C. Graves is a relation of mine, this is what I have done so far..

Any help would be most welcome

Seeing this has been revived.

@Trish,
Thanks for the reply, but my research is about Tiddington House and the name of Thomas T. Webb came up among others and finished with Richard Wedd, so I that is why I uploaded on this thread some information, just in case it might be of interest to any Webb family members.
There are some more papers about the Webb family and Tiddington House at The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust.
ER12/3/11 is a lease from Thomas Townsend Webb to George Last for Tiddington House at a yearly rent of £100 and £30 for contents, dated 24th June 1853.
ER3/3852 is a draft lease by Thomas Townsend Webb of Brownsend, Glos., to Fulwar Skipworth for seven years from the 25th December 1856.
ER3/3857 is another draft lease of Tiddington House, now in the occupation of Fulivar [Fulwar] Skipwith [Skipworth], from Caroline Webb of Brownsend, Glos., Widow, to Sir Robert N.C. Hamilton 6th Bt. for a term of 14 years from the 25th March 1861.
ER3/3865 (dated 17th September), mentions a marriage settlement between Henry Lawrence Barber of Abergavenny and Caroilne Elizabeth Webb of Brownsend, Bromsberrow, Glos., which also mentions Elias John Webb of Brownsend, her late father Thomas Townsend Webb and his interest in the will of Christian Webb.
ER3/3869 is a draft lease by Elias John Webb of Slandor House, in the Parish of Stoke in Teignhead, Devon, Thomas Henry Davis of Orleton, Worcs. and John Lane leasing Tiddington House and land to Sir Robert North Collie Hamilton of Avoncliffe, Warwickshire for 14 years from the 25th March 1875. See also ER3/3857 [Avoncliffe is next door to Tiddington House]
