Europe / Coverleys in Portugal

Hello to all members, :)

I am fairly new in this chat.
I’ve posted last year to see if someone could help me but unfortunately I had no luck.

I am trying to find living relatives in England of the Coverley’s that lived in Oporto.

I know that the last ones went to live in England back in the 40s and 50s of the XXth century.
The scarce information I was able to collect:

Henry Denys Coverley (b. 1917) got married in 1941 with Pauline Rosamond Charles in St. Marylebone, London. As far as I know, they lived in 52 Devon Rd, Cheam, Surrey, England (at least after 1950). I think they had 3 sons:
As far as I know, they lived in Surrey, England (at least somewhere after 1950).

I am not a british citizen but, as I mentioned, in my first post, I am trying to find any living relative who might give me some information concerning one of the Coverley’s (Henry Denys father). My interest would pass to publish something (an article, for example) as he was a proeminent person back in my country.

I hope anyone can give me some lights as I am quite “stuck” in my research, right now  :(

Cheers to all  :)

Jorge

Also, I know, after reading a topic, that there is someone in this Forum (nickname: “scienceplan”) who is a relative of the family I am searching for but I fear it is no longer present here since her last message is from 2011...:(

As it is an ongoing investigation for a scientific work I would deeply appreciate if we could speak by private messages, otherwise, as in all fields of knowledge, the information we post and that can be seen by anyone not registered will led that others will use it without any effort for that (“plagiarism”).

Off course, to start with we can talk by the general forum. I simply just not want to give any “free” information to other researchers. It seems odd but it is very difficult to research and as I know a little bit my area and the people that, unfortunately, exist I simply do not want to do research for others!!

I hope all of who read and have some kind of information or clue to help, understand what I am saying.

I have no problem to go to England if there is any real chance of obtaining some information about the family (actually it is not about the whole family but of a specific member that lived in my city and left a fantastic work on natural history!).

I am looking forward for hearing from you all (I hope with some good news!).

Cheers,

Jorge

I forgot to mention but I am Portuguese and I have no British ascendency. I just want to find some information for an article (scientific one) I am trying to do.

Cheers,

Jorge

Hello! I am a new member so I am sorry if I do not follow the “procedures” correctly although I read them and I hope not to break any term!! 

I am from Portugal and there used to be some Coverley’s in my city. I know that the last of them went to England in the late 1940s.

Also, I think, at least, one of them established in Surrey (at least during the 1950s).

I would be more than happy if anyone as any clue or can help me with my quest

Cheers,

Jorge
