They are at 26 William Street, Brighton, on the 1891 Census.

Hannah is "Maude Borcall". She's with James and Charles.

Amended - sorry - that's the 1901.

Possibly this is the right one - Alice Maud HALL married Fredrick CALVER, registered BLYTHING in 1910.

Jesse Togo Durrell was a pump man on a ship in 1948, so not impossible he could be in sailor's uniform in your photo.  Does one of the men look about 39 years old?

Togo J Durrell married Marion N (sic) Calver in 1935.

Marion May Calver, registered June quarter 1916 in Blything, mother's maiden name HALL.

Togo and Marion are on the 1939 Register at 17 Tuddenham Avenue.

Does the name Jesse Durrell mean anything to you?

He was at no.17 in 1948 when prosecuted for evasion of Customs Duty.

Possibly Jesse Robert Durrell, reg March quarter 1900, mother's maiden name OTTO.

Amended - Jesse Robert died 1900, think it's Jesse Togo Durrell, reg June quarter 1905, mother's maiden name OTTO.

Many thanks. Also for the clean-up.

Yes, that's all the picture I have .

This is a photo that has been passed down from my great-grandmother's family, along with others that we are mostly able to identify.  I remember that my grandfather had a label on it (note to self: don't use sticky labels that come off, write on the back in pencil) saying "Michael Jeeves".  Well, this would be my great-grandmother's grandfather, who died in 1846 at the age of 44 - so I don't see how this can be him?  He was a warehouseman, grocer and porter, who left his pregnant widow in very dire financial straits, so again, would he look like that dressed up for a studio portrait?  The subject looks a very young man, so the photograph cannot be early enough to be a young Michael?

Unfortunately, it's a photo of a photo so no studio name, etc.

Any suggestions as to the date (from clothing, etc) might help identify possible family members.

Many thanks.

I have several instances of siblings marrying siblings, which is fine genetically for their children.

But would those cousins be allowed to marry? They share only four grandparents (like brother snd sister).
