The Common Room / Re: Seymour T P Hales

Seymour's mother was Ada Mary Geere, who had been married to Willie Peace, who died in 1920. Ada had affair with Thacker and Seymour was the result. Ada sent Seymour away to live with Hales family in Derbyshire.

The Common Room / Seymour T P Hales

All my DNA research suggests that Seymour T P Hales was my biological father. He was born in Lambeth on 26 May 1923 and died in Blackpool in October 1981.
He married a few times and appeared to have numerous affairs, me being the result of one of them.
At some point in the 1950's he served in the Army in Singapore.
My research has been with Ancestry and my tree is public.
I am really finding this man rather elusive and would appreciate thoughts on how I can find further information about him. Anything would be useful.
Thank you so much

I have only just added him to my tree after viewing other related trees. Thet confirm his name changes. He married twice and had 3  different names. Since I added him I have received several new DNA matches, so I know I am in the right area. Not seen him in the 1939 census. I'm just confused about the man. I was adopted in 1952 and am searching for birth fathers name. My Ancestry birth name os Beckett.

In my tree search I have become rather confused with this man. Gerald C Lovelock born in Brentford, Middlesex in 1927 but appears to have changed his name twice before his death in 2005 in Milton Keynes, Bucks. He was also known as Stephen Lovelock and Stephen Murray in Ancestry records. At one point, he was married to Elsie Marie Goosey. Just wondering if anyone can help me move forward with this foggy area. Many thanks.

Probably thinking along the lines of popularity in the community. My family originated from Glossop in Derbyshire.

Just seeking general feedback about Non-Conformity as it seems like there is a history of it in my tree going back to around 1800. I am aware of what it is about, but were they accepted by the majority or not.
Many thanks.
