I guess I'm wanting information from that particular area if it's available.
There's quiet a variety of websites when I google Gravesend, Kent, England BDM. In Australia, I have limited resources compared to the U.K. I know nothing about which is what in Kent, England...I've never set foot out of Oz, I wouldn't have a clue where to start.
I have found on google;
Gravesend St George, Kent Genealogy Genealogy - FamilySearch Wiki
http://www.ukbmd.org.uk/county/kent/
Gravesend Birth Registry - UK Birth, Marriage and Death Certificates
just to name a few.
Can anyone please recommend a good local website for me to start the next part of my search?
thnx guys! You've all been more then helpful :)

Technical Help / Re: Is it possible to save an excel document as a jpeg/jpg or pdf?

It sounds like your're already half way there and you have Vista which means your office 03 is upgradable if you havn't already had it upgraded.
The Microsoft Windows XP include this version of the Windows Installer in the operating system and will prompt you when available to upgrade office. If for some reason your vista hasn't upgraded office automatically then the latest version of Windows Installer is available as a separate download at the following locations: Windows Installer for Windows 95, 98, and ME Windows Installer for Windows NT 4.0 and 2000
Download the Update for Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 (KB2449798) to apply some minor bug fixes.
blah blah blah, don't worry about any of that for now...
You will know for sure that you need to update office if you copy from excel and the special paste option that opens a microsoft office excel object option are not options when you right click to paste in word.
SOOOOOO, when you right click to copy your excel doc in excel then right click in word to paste and the special paste option isn't displayed with the other paste option then office will need another upgrade.
If special paste option appears when you right click.....read on and good luck!

To embed an excel sheet into a word document you can try these steps:-
1.     In Excel, click on the chart and do Edit > Copy (or, click on the chart and do ctrl-c). Or, select the cells you want to appear in your Word document and do Edit > Copy or ctrl-c.
2.     Switch to Word
3.     Now, click on Edit > Paste Special and choose Microsoft office excel chart object......

If all of that worked and you want to link your Excel doc and the Word doc (so the Word doc will convert and save whenever you work on the Excel doc. All editing/changes will be ''linked'' then click the Paste Link option). And click OK.

Oh, and if you want to hide any gridlines click on table->and click on hide gridlines.

Hope this helped and good Luck with it :)

Hi there,

Are you seeking help with your MORGAN family?   I have asked for your thread to be moved across to the Australia Board.

How kind of you, I appreciate the help, I'll move my posts to that board. No worries at all. I initially started posting in the general forum to ask if anyone could tell me about Gravesend, Kent, England?
In a nutshell....
I have found a relative that has too common a name for the Australian transportation/migration records. John Morgan, as stated on his marriage cert. was born in Gravesend, England.
A birth cert. he registered for his son's states Kent, England as his place of birth.
He married 1876 in NSW, age 31.
Father; James Morgan. Mother; Charlotte (nee Flood).
So Kent is the county? Gravesend the town?

Death:

When Henry Thomas Edwin and his twin were born in 1895. Their mother and father (John and Sarah, nee Shaw) had already registered 7 births.
Charlotte is listed as age 3.

I hope I've converted/uploaded this cert properly. Please let me know guys if anyone has any issues trying to open the file.

Hi guys! Sorry it's been so long since I last updated.
I've ordered and received John and Sarahs marriage certificate from NSW BDM.

I'd upload it for you all to look at but my chromebook is telling me the cert file is too large.  I'll look into it and get the cert up asap if able :)

Registration ~ 1617/1876
11 March 1876, Waterloo.  John Morgan; batchelor, birth place; Gravesend, England.  Sarah Shaw; spinster, birth place; Newcastle, NSW.
Married in the Church of St Silas, Waterloo, Sydney.
According to the found of the Church of England

John; Laborer. 31 (age). Place of residence; Parramatta.  Parents; James Morgan (laborer) and Charlotte flood.
Sarah; 25 (age). Place of residence; Parramatta. Parents; William Shaw and it looks like Nanny Bomforth.  Nanny could be Fanny?  Fanny? Don't suppose anyone knows where that name originates from?

I use an online program similar to microsoft excel but it's the google version.
Google docs won't actually let me save the document unless i download it and convert it to a PDF.  I'm not sure if google docs works with windows but it's worth a shot if you have a tablet or chromebook.

Technical Help / Re: Connecting HDMI Switcher to TV
« on: Saturday 15 October 16 14:57 BST (UK)  »
Hi:)
If you've used a splitter with your TV before then it should be as easy as connecting your hdmi from your tv to your splitter........U mentioned before you didn't use a remote with the old one and now you have a remote? What kind of TV do you have? I'm thinking it's either a setting on your tv that needs to be changed or reset as it may be still trying to find the old splitters ''matrix codey thingy''
