As an alternative to text/email 2-stage verification you can link your Ancestry account to your Google account or Apple ID and log in that way to avoid the hassle.

The other local newspaper would have been the Doncaster Gazette - I've checked at British Newspaper Archive but it only has the years 1870 and 1958 digitised. Gazette Newspapers still exists as a publisher.

Kir(k)by is common as it means a village with a church - the county of Yorkshire at one time extended into what are now parts of Lancashire to the west, bits of Lincolnshire and what is now Teesside. Cleveland was an historic area of Yorkshire - the county called Cleveland only lasted from the mid 1970s to the mid 1990s.
Kirkby with Great Broughton is in Cleveland
