Hello I am chasing a long shot in the never ending search of my great great grandfather.

I am trying to find what happened to the below people, and particular where Maurice Mathis came from, any brothers etc. Any help would be fantastic. Everything is French etc, the names and dates for people don't match and one daughter seems to of married 3 times in a few years?
1896 census - Saint-Denis, Seine, France
I have - Household
Maurice Mathis - 47
Philoméne Mathis - 57 (birth name Arthénac) married 1874
Marie Mathis - 29
Marguerite Mathis - 16

I have Maurice parents from marriage record of him and Philomene as Maurice Mathis and Marie Marguerite Fournier.

Any help at all please, would be very grateful. Thanks :-)

Hello guys, just a quick update, I wrote to the address I found and have had a reply, It is the person I am looking, they sent me a few photos, though I still can't tell who their father is in the photo sent to mine, the photos are a 2-30 year age gap. Hopefully they won't mind being a penpal relative, I love hearing any old stories about any family members, but we will see. I am thankful they replied.

yes I found these, too, I have written a letter up and I am posting today at a hefty cost of £11 so it gets there within 10 days, or its up to 6 weeks, and time is key. I have also joined a local facebook group for that area and asked if anyone knew her, no joy. I have also messaged the local white rock historical society, which said it would get back to me Monday just passed, but they have not as yet. Fingers crossed for me.

Not sure about the Sheila, her name was B and she married to the M surname, I am praying to find a her alive, she would be the last person alive to be able to identify her father in my great grandmothers wedding photos and his other siblings wedding weddings, I have 3 in total from 3 of her fathers siblings weddings, she is the last one if alive to be able to recognise her father.

Thanks Claire, I had seen John too, but didn't know the meaning thank you. I will have to beg folks to look at the John records, as I don't have the overseas ancestry, I pay for the £12 monthly one, and have credits regally on scotlandspeople, Scottish family too.  :-)
