Thanks to Millipede and Osprey, mystery solved. I could not find family, as they were listed as Barley in 1881 census.

Family History Beginners Board / Mary Bennett born Bailey 1878?

Hi, can anyone help me trace the early life of Mary Bennett born 30/5/1878 in Newport Shropshire.
She married a man called Edward Bennett and lived in Newport Shropshire, so I have got her DOB from the 1939 census.
On the GRO there is a birth record in 1878 for Mary Bailey with mother's name Moulston, which is what I would expect to see, however in any census record for Evelyn Bailey b 1884 (Mary's sister & my great nan), Mary is not living with her family. Other siblings are Thomas G, Alice, Sarah, John F & Agnes.

Could anyone help me find parents to James Bailey/Bayley? According to 1891 and 1901 census he was born in High Offley in 1851. I have him aged 66 in the 1911 census, but that would have him born in 1845, which conflicts other two, but says birth place is Wooseaves, which is next to High Offley. He married Emma Moulston in 1875 in Wellington, Shropshire. GRO does not list High Offley as an option.

Thank you, that helps, as I've found an Emma Moulstone b 1858 in Edgmond, Shropshire, so wonder if this is her.
Evelyn had an older brother called Thomas George b 1877, so wonder what surname he has listed.

Evelyn Bailey was born in Wellington Shropshire Jan 1884, I think, but do not have birth cert.

I have hit a dead end with Emma Bailey/Bayley on my family tree research and wondered if anyone can help.
1891 census has Emma Bayley aged 33 born Edgmond, Salop, living with husband James Bayley from High Offley, Staffs.
I cannot find a James Bayley marrying an Emma to get her surname.
I have got the census details from 1901, but that gives me no more info, not does ancestry link me to mum's maiden name for any of her children. I am descended from her daughter Evelyn.

Yes, he married Harriett Price in 1866 in Bridgenorth. Just still puzzled on Thomas Powell's parentage, as all branches of my family tree go back many generations apart from the Powell's, which is the key one as it is my surname.

My great grandfather George Powell was born in Kemberton in 1879.
