Cass I am confused by this information:
DOB
Name            THOMAS CATHERINE
Registration Number      500/1872
Father's Given Name(s)   GEORGE G
Mother's Given Name(s)   GAHAN
District            SYDNEY

? mother's given name?
? Catherine died before 1?

The only marriage between a Gahan and a Thomas is DOM
https://familyhistory.bdm.nsw.gov.au/lifelink/familyhistory/search/result?7
99/1862 RICHARD THOMAS / CATHERINE MARY GAHAN SYDNEY

? Catherine not Honora?

Wow, if you are in or near Sydney do visit church it is amazing.
mmmI do know that when some cemeteries we're redesignated, not all graves were exhumed. Some cemetaries required payment to do so. Maybe?? Also it is believed some family did not want them exhumed. Possible.
I would love to use the basic information I have and give it a try.
We can but try. Jenny

Hi Cass, how interesting, I was at St Thomas yesterday enquiring about the graves. My 4 GGM was oringally interred there and excumed and reinterred in Rookwood. I went to Rookwood a few weeks back and found her.
The priest said the cemetary was at the back of the churh, there is now a plot of grassed area as rememberance, no monuments.
Theoretically all were exhumed and went to Rookwood.
He also said the graveyard was exhumed to build a school but my first thought was the railway that runs along the church, maybe both were the reasons.
Either way the church is magnificant and the surrounding area historic houses wonderful, it seems the area was a good place to live.
Did you find the plots at Rookwood where they were reinterred. Jenny
