Many thanks for your response. Yes, his siblings stayed in Slovakia, actually, just near the Hungarian border. Big Hungarian population in that area, over the Danube from Esztergom in Hungary, where Dad was born. Cheers. Michael.

Many thanks for your reply. Yes, he had a sister, Eta who married a Mr Karoly and a brother Bela. His mother's maiden name was Hegedus (which is Hungarian for violin, so she was a Miss Violin) and father's name also Jozsef.

Dear All,

I am just Looking for family members of Jozsef Soos (my father). Born in 1919, emigrated from Europe to Australia in 1949 after fleeing communist Hungary. Was in a refugee camp in Germany for 6 months before leaving. Married my Australian mum in 1951.

Any help would be appreciated.
