Free Photo Restoration & Date Old Photographs / Re: US photo estimated 1910-1920-Can you help?
« on: Sunday 04 February 18 19:23 GMT (UK) »Hi Brian, The ladies look as if they are related, mother and daughter perhaps? Estimating ages is
not my forte but the lady on the left could be in her 20's. Using Gadget's and Carol's dating of the photo that would put her birth in the 1890's.
Regards,
Jen.
The picture is inscribed on the rear, "your two grandmothers." In my father's generation, one of his grandmothers died in 1902. My grandfather's grandmothers both died before 1900. But in my grandmother's generation, both of her grandmothers were still alive circa 1915. I've attached a picture of one of her grandmothers that I think bears a resemblance to the woman on the left, though Sarah Elizabeth Christy (nee Stephens) would have been in her 60s at the time the picture was taken. I don't have any pictures of her other grandmother, Annie Nancy Roberts (nee Diuguid).
