Ian

I have tried searching on the Norwegian Archive but I can't get my head around the search options. Could I trouble you to see if there is a birth record for Iver Henning, I dont know his parents names but I believe he was born 7th May 1803

Thanks
Steve

Found the marriage record for Maria in 1842, the name differs from that on wikistrinda, https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:NWZ6-129
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:NW32-2BM

would you know where to find the register image?

Thanks for the banns and birth records Ian.

Through a group on Facebook I have discovered a lot more about Iver Henning & Maria Karsten, I have the birth/baptism records for their 8 children including my gt gt grandfather Carl Christian "Charles", I already know much about Charles and it was you who helped me last year in my search when he went missing in the UK and turned up in the US.

Iver bought Voldsminde farm in 1840, he died the following year of tuberculosis and Maria marries sheriff Hans P Fyhn, Maria dies in 1844 so I am now looking for her death record.

You translated the residence Elieplats for me, i have discovered info about this place on this link https://www.strindahistorielag.no/wiki/index.php?title=Strinda_formannskap

I wonder what became of the children when Iver died, 7 aged from 10 years to one month, presumably they were with her and her new husband, but when she dies 3 years later what then, it doesnt bear thinking about.

Thanks for your help

Steve
