New Zealand Completed Requests / Re: druids and forresters lodges

I know it's been a while since this topic was started but would be interested to know if the original poster had any luck tracking down any records, I have discovered my husband's Great grandfather William Bailey was a Druid in Christchurch, and wondered if they might have a photo of him.

Thanks everyone, that makes sense. I've ordered his Grandad's birth certificate to confirm where his parents were born, hopefully adding credence to the hypothesis that these are the right people. I already know his mother's maiden name was Talliss, and have found records in Warrickshire that match, so it seems very likely.

Excited to have found what appears to be a incoming passenger record for my husband's Paternal Great Grandparents ((William and Anne Bailey) there seems to be notation "to Whittaker" next to the family, I've done a bit of a Google but couldn't find anything about a place called Whittaker, does anyone have any information about this? https://sites.rootsweb.com/~nzlscant/peeress.htm

Surrey / Re: Youthed or Youthead Family

Thanks, I have the marriage of William Andrew to Elizabeth and their seven children.  I'm looking for a birth record of William Andrew around 1812 to 1816 and confirmation that Andrew Youthed and Sarah Mallinson are the correct parents.

Its the 40 years span from Andrew and Sarah's marriage in 1772 until the birth of William Andrew that has me a little concerned.  I had considered that Andrew and Sarah could be the grandparents of William Andrew.

Any confirmed records or highly probable connections would be great, thanks.
So William Andrew's parents are Andrew and Elizabeth Brewer, Andrew and Sarah are his Grandparents, (probably repeating what I posted earlier) I haven't found a birth record as such, just calculated his age from census records. I definately need to do more digging on these guys. People are always asking where my name come from and are always suprised when I say London!

This is how it goes as far as I have pieced together Andrew Youthed born 1745 married Sarah Mallison, parents of  Andrew born 1776 who married Elizabeth Brewer, they are the parents of William Andrew who was born in 1817 and Married Elizabeth Haigh to confuse matters these two had two children called William one was born and died in 1840, and another William was born in 1841 this William was living with an Uncle at the time of the 1851 census so can easily be missed from their children. Very confusing with all the Williams, Andrews, and Elizabeths (including one who was born to the 1817 Andrew). Must be time I did some more digging into the Youthed's I've been focusing on my Mum's family and my husbands family just recently.

Death entry for “our” one

1940/22480   Hall   William   79Y

Sandynz, if you order that death certificate it should give you a lot of information.
Order the printout, not a certificate. It has more information and is slightly cheaper, and can be emailed.
Thanks, that should prove interesting, might do some digging through passengers lists too to see if I can find them.

Thanks everyone, it does seem she was born in New Zealand, I found identical people on the the UK census, William and Isabella Hall with a daughter Florence May, and the age was right too, so I was a bit confused, the Irish connection is interesting, I don't think anyone in the family knew about an Irish connection. Hubby's eldest sister doesn't know much and she said everyone to ask is dead (on both sides pretty much too). They all lived in the UK for a while, so didn't grow up here with family to tell them the stories, hubby's Dad flew for the RAF and married a British girl, hubby was actually born in Tripolli, Libiya on a British airforce base.
