Thanks for all the help with Elizabeth Amer - the Will should be in the National archives?
I think this is my Elizabeth as her husband was Benjamin Smith a very common name Smith and Lower Studley sounds right it's near Trowbridge also interesting to see a daughter married into the Stokes family which I can trace to Trowbridge

Can someone help me trace the parents of Elizabeth Ammer who was married in Trowbridge in 1742 so I'm assuming she was born around 1724 or so I'm trying to trace this line

As far as I know they were separated by then and she Elizabeth Knight was living elsewhere with they're three young sons Leonard, Arnold and William
someone in the family told father Frederick Knightdied young of a heart attack around 1910/11 maybe in Northampton

I'm trying to trace my great grandfather Frederick Knight who died in or around 1910 in Northampton. He was a painter decorator and was supposed to have connections Braunston lock painting narrowboats there. I was trying to trace his death record. He died around age 40 so born about 1864.

Thanks so much Stanwix I hadn't discovered the resource you sent me a link to so I'll try and join its much easier to explore Romany roots with others. I'm going back to 1750s and my ancestors daughter or sister seems to have married into a Romany family of horsedealers. I'm assuming my geneolgy in following the trees back is correct as there are so many matches this 3rd cousin brings in it can't be coincidental some I noticed have a bit of South Indian DNA too along with the Irish English Balkan and east Asian and  even native American truly a wandering family tree

I took a DNA test and was connected with a 3rd cousin through our Irish DNA  I'd never heard of checking through the predicted relationship and the trees and the GGG grandmother were predicted to be descended I found it quite correct but absolutely stunning as I'd never researched that side of my tree could this be true?
