Good afternoon from Australia,

I am researching my Father's biological family and just stumbled across this feed. Elizabeth Kerr is my great grand aunt. She married Michael Rush. I have some DNA matches on ancestry to confirm the relationship. I was wondering if anyone knows anymore information on her 3 or 4 husbands.

Hi,

Last year I began searching the biological parents of my father. I have learnt that my great grandmother was registered as the house keeper of West Breast Lodging House Greenock in the 1901 census. Her name was Martha Dalessandro nee Graham and her husband was Felix Dalessandro. They were also know as Alexander. Is it possible that your great grandmother may be the same person?

The building was located in Longmuir Square and information about the accommodation can be found at www.scottishmining.co.uk

Cheers
Carla

Hi,

Scotland’s people are unable to provide any assistance as the certificates are still locked. The Black/Hamill looks are not relatives of Annie. The child may not have been given Davin as a name so this may also prove to be difficult.

Thanks

Hi,
Yes Annie had 11 siblings. She only had one child. She spent her time in convents and asylums from the age of 24.

Hi,

Thanks for replying.

Yes this is Annie (Ann Davin). She was pregnant when she was at the convent. I am trying to find out the name of the child. If he or she is still alive or has living relatives etc. A distant relative said their was a boy but no one seems to really know why Annie was institutionalised and what happened to the baby. She remained there until her death in 1984.

Thanks

Hi,

I am tracing my father’s biological family and am trying to find any information on his aunt Annie Davin who was placed in Dalbeth Convent in 1928. She had a child that was taken away from her. We think it was a son. Then she was placed in the Stirling District Asylum.
