Great link Gadget, that will help identify the lodge number that he was attached to, there is a contact too.
 My OH is a Mason and my BIL is involved with the Knight's Templar division, my OH has never applied for or been chosen as Junior Warden and therefor was never a master Mason, so never been in the chair.

It looks like he is a Grand Master of a Masonic Lodge. It also appears to be holding a gavel in his right hand. If you could scan the circular badge on his apron at about 600dpi it may reveal the name of the lodge that he was attached to.

You could try online Family trees on Ancestry, or, he could be using his middle name, also newspapers may maybe another thing that you could try. Immigration records/passenger lists are also worth a look.
