Yeah the boarder I have is 1899 birth year if this is right for 1901 then she wasn't 18 when she married my great grandfather which is what it says on the marriage certificates. I wish my granddads side of the family were as organised as my grandmothers  ;D

It would of been late 50's more likely 57/58. I don't know if he would of needed additional care I only had vague stories of my granddads side of his family from my grandmother who always told me she'd met him a few times and he was a lovely man. We think he went by bobby more than robert but my search for that name comes up short too. Again we think the W is for William as it's a family name but I will hopefully know when his birth certificate comes :)

Oh ok i haven't found that record will search that now I found one where it was mary j gray and she was a boarder.

I found the Mary J Gray on the 1939 but waiting for verification that it's her going through the people she was living with at the time.

Yes have seen how Robert was described but my uncle was taken to meet him as a baby and by then the grandparents he was living with had passed so want to know who he was living with and was thinking it may of been one of the sister as if it was his mum my uncle would of gone up to meet him and her.

Oh gosh yes found death records were not that reliable! When I started out, I asked my uncle as he filled out my granddads death certificate but he was only in his 20's and he couldn't remember all of what was put so I ordered it hoping to narrow down where in Durham my granddad was from and my uncle just put "Durham" haha
