Greetings everyone,

Any assistance in deciphering the residence of Michael Smyth in the attached screenshot would be most appreciated. Just to add, the location is somewhere in Galway.
Also just on his Wife's former name, I make it out as Sweeney but not 100%.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks hallmark, I found the gravestones a while back which was how I calculated many of the dates. I also didn't know about many of their children until I found it :)

Carlow / Richard Kelly and Catherine Moore Marriage Register
« on: Friday 24 May 19 21:14 BST (UK)  »
Hello everyone,

I am looking for help in locating a marriage record for my great great great grandparents. I have spent countless nights scouring the internet for records and have found loads of information but not a marriage record☹

Please let me provide what information I can in the hopes someone might be able to assist😊

Their names were Richard Kelly and Catherine Moore/Moor.

Richard Kelly was born in 1800 (possibly to John and Ann Kelly in Rathvilly Co.Carlow but this in unconfirmed)

Catherine Moore was born in 1812 to unknown parents.

The Ireland Tithe Applotment Books, 1814-1855 for Carlow places Richard Kelly in Crecrin, Ballyconnell, Co.Carlow in 1824.

I have identified 7 Children that Richard and Catherine may have had as follows:
•   James Kelly (birthday unknown)
•   John Kelly (died 1838)
•   Mary Kelly (birthday unknown)
•   Michael Kelly (birthday unknown, married in 1866 to Mary Grady, died in Tullow, Carlow)
•   Rose Kelly (1832 to 1878) baptismal record in Catholic parish registers 1655 to 1915 for Kildare and leighlin gives parents names as Richard Kelly and Catherine Moore.
•   Thomas Kelly (1836 to 1917)
•   Edward Kelly (born 1844) baptismal record in Catholic parish registers 1655 to 1915 for Kildare and leighlin gives parents names as Richard Kelly and Catherine Moor.

Richard Kelly died 6th Jan 1892 and is buried in crecrin cemetery.

Catherine Moore died 6th June 1894 and is buried in crecrin cemetery with her husband Richard and children; Rose, John, Michael, Mary, Thomas and Elizabeth.

The closet to a marriage record for them I have gotten is a marriage register for a Richard Kelly and a Catherine Molloy on 5th March 1832 in Rathvilly in Co.Carlow, which is approximately 22Km from Crecrin.I wouldn’t be surprised if this Richard and Catherine were in some way related but have not made a connection.

Any assistance with this will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks & kind regards,

Joseph.
