I am trying to find information on this family (that someone else has posted on - 'Irish Finder').  I shall put below what i have (factual). i am trying to find out more about Charles Martin (shoemaker) and Thomas Chambers (labourer) these facts are off the wedding certificate of Robert John Martin married 5th May 1876 Tamlaght Upper (O'Crilly) to Thomasina Chambers (seamstress). Both Church of Ireland. Witness was Martha Chambers who i have deducted to be the sister of Thomasina and i also have her marriage cert. What i do NOT know, is Thomasina's mother and other siblings and the wife of Charles Martin, where he was born and died. I have these siblings of Robert John Martin: Elizabeth Anne 4/3/1877 Drumnacannon (Londonderry), Thomas Charles 24/3/1879 Killyguilb (Londonderry), Anne Jane 1889, Mary Ellen 1886, Charles 15/8/1881 (Ireland xo found) and Nannie 16/9/1888 (Ireland xo found).  I have tried to find information, any help is greatly appreciated.

Can someone please help. I am trying to trace someone who is claimed to be Greek, who was born in Turkey, served in the Turkish Army, was a war prisoner and then went to Greece as a refugee. I have tried to research this and i need help. I have the DNA of one of their relatives and there is NOT any Greek DNA which contradicts what information i was given on this family being Greek. I also am aware of Turkish Family Trees , where family members came to Greece and changed their surnames. I cannot get above the late 1800's or link anyone up as the names provided are in Greek.

If you actually 'are Greek' then how is it possible to be come to Greece as a refugee in the early 1900's? Does anyone have any details of the history in this area and time?  Thank you

M'Keown is not related, she is named after teacher (in my family) who taught at the school her (M'Keown) father was a headmaster at. I managed to get in contact with the family.

Given the age difference of William Turner and Melicina Bateman, it is more plausible that they met teaching in northern Ireland as on their marriage certificate, they were living near each- other.

Hi Aghadowey,  NO they are not my posts    (they have the same family). My cousin is going to drive to Turners Town Lane and around that area to see what he can find. I will post his findings on Roots Chat to help anyone researching the Turners.

A relative in England found the above on Turners Town, which is why we are both interested to find out more to see who originally settled it. Unfortunately with the destruction of records i feel i am stuck at 1830.
