Hello my name is Judi formerly from a long line of Norfolk Howes family and Herne's my mother and grandmother (Sarah Ann Herne) both knew Robert Herne Bond and I even have a photo of him for you! In 2000 onwards when computers were just entering our lives I started researching having bits of info here and there. I finally made trips to Norwich to visit an old school friend of my late fathers. Stuart had a book on prominent citizens of Norwich which had my gt grandfather( John Joseph Howes)  in it plus Robert Herne Bond who is also a distant relation of mine via my late maternal Grandmother Sarah Ann Herne who sadly was deaf. He took copies and sent them years ago to me. My grandmother also knew Ernest at the large store as it then was ... was always given a chair and afforded special visits. My mother used to go to the Bond house parties but more than that I have little info. So pleased to help though and this is a good start for you.. kind regards Judi
