Hi,
Yes, that's right, I don't believe it implies they were present at the wedding. I can't recall finding an entry indicating the father was deceased on any of my ancestors marriage records, despite a good number of them being so.

Hi,
Not sure if this helpful, but FS has four listings for William and Sarah's marriage in Kent in 1836. Three are for Elham and one for Elstone, 13 miles from Elham, between Reculver and Elham.

Hi again,
I don't know how common the family name of Op de Beeck is, but it might interest you to know that there are three people of that name, who were born in Antwerp, in England on the 1921 census. There are also three people of that name born and living in Yorkshire.
