Hi L M
Have you tried alcohol wipes? They usually work.
Failing that try vodka or anything with a high alcohol content, just resist licking the perspex after.  ;D ;D ;D

Missed this so just completed.
Good luck with your project. Hope you get a "Patty Hearst" for it ;D ;D ;D

Handwriting Deciphering & Recognition / Re: Place name near Abergavenny Monmouthshire

This is my guess at it.
I think it is Capella Ballon.
My reasoning behind it.
Cappella is Latin for Chapel and the Ballon family were headed by Hamelin de  Ballon 1st  Baron Abergavenny having been given the land by William Rufus

Anyone agree or shall I get my coat  :) :)
I was barking up the wrong tree.
I bow to the superior eyesight knowledge of Bookbox -see reply below.
I can now see it as Bettous
i'll get my coat.  ;D ;D

Had a reply saying they were having technical issues which they were aware of and were trying to resolve as quickly as possible.

Hi Melanie,
Have a look at this group, Glamorgan Family History Society (Pontypridd and Rhondda Branch).

Overseas Membership is 20. If you look at their "Benefits of Membership" page at you will see what records they hold.

Hope this is of help

This song, originally by Maroon 5, I feel is really appropriate today.

This is a version by One Voice Children's Choir.

I'm so glad that I only have a few cousin marriages in my tree.
Compared to mine some peoples trees must resemble bramble bushes.  ;D ;D

Take care all
