found a marriage for John Waller and Elizabeth Smith at Chester-Le-Street Durham ( same church where they are all buried) 30 Sept 1798. So John remarried two years after Eleanor died.

Also, Jane nee Waller and Robert Ferens had a son John Waller Ferens who died feb 28 1813 Durham at that time they lived at Barley Mow, two miles from Chester-le-Street. Jane obviously called her son after her father John Waller, who married Eleanor? Along with a daughter Eleanor named after her mother.

These are so hard i am thinking your right maybe the Lancaster Wallers are NOT mine....

Thank you
Sam

Hi all,
How different my Waller line looks when someone is working with me and pointing things out that to me just didnt stand out! Many thanks for all you do.

Here is some info off records i have Now this is interesting its the headstone reading of:

Eleanor ? wife of John Waller of Fatfield Durham d 21 jan 1796 aged 42yrs. John Waller her husband d 18 May 1823 aged 73yrs, Thomas son of above d 5 june 1831 aged 43yrs, also Elizabeth wife of John Waller  d 16 April 1841 aged 89yrs also Isabella Smith daug of Elizabeth Waller above d 1853 aged76yrs..
To my amazement this shows John married twice, only God knows why this hasn't registered with me before. Now an even bigger headache!
Also my 3x g grandmother Jane Waller was married at Bishopwearmouth Durham 9 June 1811 ti Robert Ferens.

I'm so grateful for your help to say the least in helping me work these ancestors out. Thank you so much
Sam

Well Alan many thanks for your reply, so grateful.  This John is my 3 times g grandfather b 1741 at Bishopwearmouth Durham. He married Eleanor possibly Heaviside/Heavyside.. I am glad you agree with me that the Edward/Esther seems correct.
Maybe i am getting cross lines with John being their son, I do know a John married Eleanor? i have the birth of their daughter Jane born Durham, Jane being my 2 times g grandma and her parents are John and Eleanor. However, this is the only John i could find that (to me) seemed correct but.....i am hopeless at this and working alone is difficult.
Many thanks for your help

Hi Maiden Stone and Heatherjulie. You dont know how grateful i am for your help, thank you so much.
I am amazed at the number of different variations of the surname. I am so amazed at the one who featured in several sessions for defrauding  Customs and assult! phew...I wonder if he was mine..

What i have of Agnes is this, she married William WALLER 15 Aug 1706 HAWKSHEAD LANCS. So either of the two baptisms could be her as for the date. I am totally at a brick wall stage with this as i wouldn't know where to go from here!

Grateful thanks to you both

Hi, I really know nothing of Agnes or her family, so i have no idea if they were Quakers. I realised that Ancestry was free this weekend so i spent LOTS of time on there trying to find Agnes and her family but...i didn' t get much response to Holythorn surname.

It feels like drawing straws as to what i find for her.Now i am wondering if the surname could be spelt a diffrent way. Very grateful for your help.

Hi Heatherjulie,
So happy with your findings, the only thing i had of the Holythorn family was Agnes' marriage to John Waller. So this is AMAZING!!! thank you. While looking at the info do you think the Edmunds Waller and Edward Waller are the same person?
This is wonderful for me to have its an amazing start to finding who Agnes is and from whom she came.

Sam
